THE CHANGELING movie is a powerful true story about a mother's search for her son and the LAPD's shame at treating the mother like a mentally deranged person. Her son Walter diappears. She looks everywhere for him. Just when she'd given up hope, a boy turns up claiming to be her son. She knows that he is not her son, but she takes him into her home. She challeges the authorities and they claim that she is an unfit mother...
This looks like it will be the movie of 2009. Clint Eastwood's direction is masterful and Angelina Jolie's portrayal of the desperate mother is superbly portrayed.
